In Greece, raw products resulting from the cultivation of cannabis varieties of the species Cannabis Sativa L low in tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) are legal. The relevant issues are governed by what is defined by law 4139 of 2013 "on addictive substances". In April 2016, with the amendment of the law made in Greece, the cultivation of industrial cannabis (Cannabis Sativa L) is allowed as well as the distribution of its products.

According to him, the substances do not include "raw harvested products resulting from the cultivation of cannabis varieties of Cannabis Sativa L with a low content of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and in particular up to 0.2%".
